YouTube will reportedly block videos from indie artists who don’t sign up for its paid streaming service
As YouTube prepares to roll out an ad-free streaming music service, the Financial Times is reporting that it will block videos from indie artists who don’t sign up for this new offering. According to the story, YouTube has signed deals with the major labels, and is explicitly threatening to block artists from using the entire YouTube platform, free or paid, if they do not agree to the terms of the new streaming service.

then Vimeo or another new service will get some much needed attention…

My latest experiment: letterpress print on $1,000 in cash (all denominations) and recirculate it.

Awesome. The framing of letters around the presidents head is a great detail.

NASA’s Valkyrie robot is a six-foot ‘superhero’ designed to save you from disasters
NASA has created a robot for DARPA’s upcoming Robotics Challenge Trials. The Valkyrie is a six-foot two humanoid machine with detachable arms, sonar sensors, mounted cameras, and a glowing, Tony Stark-esque circle in the middle of its chest, that the space agency says is mobile and dexterous enough to enter disaster zones to provide search and rescue functions.

What more could you want indeed
